The Food
Lamak's kitchen offers Balinese, Indonesian, Asian and international food. Serving from separate a la carte menus for lunch and dinner, Chef Ifah's dishes retain the flavorful origins of the cuisine, with innovative interpretation. This is not fusion food by any means. Chicken Kiev maintains its integrity, although wrapped in Won Ton skins. Chili Marinated Prawns stand out on their bed of Green Papaya Relish. Brule is still brule, with a hint of orange and ginger.
The Atmosphere Dramatic steel sculpture contributes riveting accents to the atmosphere against striking burgundy-colored walls. The decor is anchored with bold, punched-out steel panels mounted in relief and freestanding, embellished with Lamak's unique logo. Local stone statuary is complimented by unique resin sculpture in whimsical shapes, such as twin hounds illuminated.
